To all those on the fence about Jaime, I'll say it again: if we lived during these times, considering everything, a LOT of kids would go flying off the top of walls

Compared to the crazy pee-pee wacker and really the majority of the characters, he's actually got pretty good character

again considering the times and all of the elements in this wacky world, he's a pretty decent dude compared to everyone else and what you could get away with on a daily basis.

Looks like the white walkers are back

I've been wondering where this storyline will go. We really haven't seen any of them the whole season, which is pretty odd considering the season 2 finales closing scenes. I thought that's what most of this season would be about.
But the more I watch this show, the more I realize storylines are not getting wrapped in a single season. That's a little annoying for impatient people like me, but it does make it more gratifying when something does get resolved.

Where the white walkers at?!?

But yeah, they are referenced often by people in conversation (burning people with white eyes and shite) but rarely ever shown.

I want a White Walker vs. Wildling/Northmen War - Jon Snow/Mance Rayder vs. White Walker King in battle to the death.

Make it happen, GOT

Arya and the Hound. Mind blown. This could end up being awesome

This is now the main storyline I am excited to follow, mainly because the Hound was released after the trial by combat but is right there next to their camp. In this episode, Arya runs and the Hound is right there to nab her. Which leads me to believe that the Hound has been waiting all this time specifically to get to Arya. For what? Ransom? To protect her? Are his motives noble? Etc.

Not bringing that thought to the Middle Ground thread. I just want to watch this relationship unfold.

i thought the episiode was ok. it still seem like it was over in 20 minutes.

really interested in:

arya storyline

jamie-brienne (jamie has been hard to root against recently)

every time tywin's on the goddamned screen! i'll probably include cersei and joffrey

what kind of shite theon has to deal with next (he almost had a thee-way, amirite??!!)

tyrion's 99 problems (the ones that don't include bitches)

margery's tits

pod/bron/tyrion and throw in hodor (who, seriously guys, still don't have a sitcom)

sort of interested in:

dany running shite

brotherhood

red chick and gendry

stannis

tyrion's 99 problems (which include bitches)

robb and his wife

jon and ygritte

don't care about:

bran and jojen osha etc (save for hodor)

Cat

Gus Gus (who ever came up with this name )

I'm guessing the Hound will continue her "killing training" she's been receiving for the last season and a half.

Dancing Master
Silent Killer guy that she freed in Season 2 (forgot his name)
Brotherhood arrow expert
The Hound?

jamie-brienne (jamie has been hard to root against recently)

Surely they hook up? IDK maybe that's too weird

no everyone keeps saying that. i like them as a platonic duo who have mutual respect for one another.

I'd rather them not hook up as well - I doubt Tywin would allow it.

Which brings up an interesting topic - we'll also see how Jaime is once he gets back with Cersei and Tywin, etc (if he gets back to Kings Landing).

He seems like a good guy now, but his family might not recognize or appreciate what he has become.

What do you think?

The paralyzed Stark boy's storyline has become almost unwatchable to me. I hope that he will be killed off in the next episode so that I don't have to endure more of his terribly boring story but, sadly, I feel confident he is the one character that will live on for the entirety of the series.

I really wish people would stop refering to "living in these times." This is for all intents and purposes a completely alternate reality, and so there is no temporal relationship to our reality, in my opinion.

As far as Jaime goes, you have to appreciate the character development and the ability of GRRM/producers to evoke sympathy towards a character that was as reviled as Joffrey in the beginning. This is the difference between great story-telling and piece of shite stories that ignorant, retards like. For instance, The Hunger Games: A shitty story with a shitty plot stolen from several different sources (The deadliest game, the lottery to mention only 2) with absolutely no character development. Compare that to Jamie who was gone from being at the top of the hierarchy of the known world to being stripped down to his inner core and is being reborn as a new person on a completely new role in life. And now, as an audience, it is almost impossible to not be rooting for him. Even Theon, who has done so many deplorable actions and made the absolutely worst decisions, has now become a sympathetic character. Granted, it took his dick being cut-off, but still you feel sorry for the sister-fingering frick

Replace Kings with Popes. Bannermen from North with Germanic tribes and those from Essos with Muslims/Turks...

It could be comparable.

Comparable for sure, but it is by no means a sample of actual human history. And saying "living in these times" is like saying we can look back at medieval times and compare morals from then to GOT. There is so much more to it than that, and saying it is simply a comparison to medieval times is disrespectful to the brilliance of GRRM.
