I'm pretty excited about this.

That looks like one of the worst movies of all time.

I thought it was actually one of those super low-budget, psudo-documentaries at fist like what Eastwood did with the French Train explosion because the adult actor kid was so bad at narration... Then I saw name actors in the preview.

That looks like one of those slit your wrist type of slogs to get through... The music and trailer was also very cheap feeling.

And the title makes it sound like some James bond ripoff... I'll have a hard pass...

That trailer didn't excite me, but it's one of my favorite books so I'll definitely give it a watch. I really wish The Secret History would have gotten a movie before The Goldfinch and I'm afraid it never will if this one flops.

People say that they don't want trailers giving away the plot. This trailer doesn't give away the plot.

The book/film aren't just about a boy getting over the loss of a mother. It's a Pulitzer Prize winning novel involving art theft and forgery and drug dealers and so on...

Elgort impressed the hell out of me in Baby Driver. Looking forward to him in this one.

Jesus what a “try hard” post...it’s like you wanted to sound pretentious but somehow fricked that up

Lost almost all interest in this after I saw the casting. Hated Elgort in Baby Driver, can't imagine liking him in this (Theo is already a fairly unlikable character). Interested to see if they tone down the homoeroticism of the teenage bromance.

Review: ‘The Goldfinch’ Is A Fine Example Of The Kind Of Movie Hollywood (Allegedly) Doesn’t Make Anymore

Scott Mendelson's review (and how people say they want this movie but they won't see it in the theater).

Saw it last night. Good, not great.

Very slow start. Middle and end are fine. Some good performances, especially from the kids.

I will probably go see this, saw it was getting destroyed by critics and everybody else. Also terrible cast don’t know what they were thinking with this ensemble
