To be fair, I generally despise Madonna. But, that said, I don't particularly like most of the music they use on the show but that didn't stop me from enjoying the show before. It wasn't simply that it was an hour of Madonna's music but an hour of every character gushing about how inspired they were by her to the point of inducing nausea. Furthermore, it is just awkward for the show to become so caviler about teenage sex after arguably the main plot of the first season was Gwen's pregnancy.
