i dont think they did in the show

Why don't D&D think ahead sometimes? Could have been a damn good scene when Robb tells Cat his plans to legitimize Jon

I don't think Jon rules Winterfell. He may sit on the Iron Throne, though.

I only remember because I couldn't believe Jon didn't bring it up when Stannis was looking for a lord of Winterfell

The GNC could still be alive, but if so it wasn't thought out well by the writers.

Exactly. D&D would've just used the GNC to try and shock the audience with the dead direwolf, whatever happens to Osha and Rickon, and then the North turning on Ramsay all of a sudden. There would be no well thought out storyline for it.

Ok yes, there are people who do not have confirmation that Bran is dead, yet he is completely MIA with essentially no way to find him. The Umbers have to plan as if Rickon is the only hope pf preserving the male Stark line. They could do a matrilineal marriage to Sansa and carry on that way, but Sansa is also MIA.... she's also maybe still married to Tyrion and/or has two past marriages that will be inconvenient.

Rickon is AMAZINGLY important. I will also note that Castle Black is poorly defended from the South. Ramsay should have no need to bait out Jon. Just go fricking kill him if you think it is important.

Rickon on shaggydog

quote:

“Uh, yeah, I’d say so. It was a little bit disappointing because, you know, looking at the dogs we had on set… and that you’d never really get to hang out with them again. When I read that Shaggydog was dead, I was definitely a little upset.” (Via Huffington Post)

Hell, who are we kidding. The only people that will be coming to Jon and Sansa's aid will be Littlefinger and the Nights of the Vale. That is what LF has been planning since he handed Sansa over to the Boltons, and the previews from next week so LF making that case to the Vale. That is where the battle is headed, and the show has been laying the groundwork for that since last season.

I read two interviews and Art Parkinson gave zero details basically.

Yeah but in the next answer he basically left it vague and didn't shoot down the possibility of GNC.

Why would you trust an actor interview given previous history regardless.

Given some of the spoilers.... it seems that is where we are headed. I still don't like it though.

I still can't stand scenes with Emilia Clarke.

She looks like she gained a little weight based upon that bare back scene from last episode. Maybe she's just self conscious about her new chunky self.

Wouldn't they have to cross the Twins. I wonder how the Freys play out in that situation.
