how far away can you warg into something/someone?

Yeah I meant someone who knew what was happening. Even Hodor is kinda weird, but mind controlling people is kinda creepy.

Am I the only one that would feel really weird if Bran does actually warg into other people?

Didn't he already warg into Hodor...on the show?

Bran goes running with Summer during a lot of nights, so the range is pretty far. You also have the Wildling warning into a bird in flight.

No clue if there is a different "initial distance" versus maintained difference or if line of sight matters....

I don't think that's fixed. It is implied the distance must be somewhat close - on the show. The relationships are all different. There was the one wildling (in the books at least) that used an eagle or hawk for recon - that was pretty far. Arya wargs into Nymeria from across the narrow sea (again, at least in the books). Jon warged into Ghost for somewhat wide ranging hunts. Robb and Greywind (as well as Rickon and Shaggydog) were inseparable, so there isn't a frame of reference for those.

Pretty far in the books. Uncertain in the show.

I re-watched that last night and Ned should have pulled Robert in private and told him he was marching his arse home if Robert continued with the order. Robert was desperate to have Ned as Hand, so Ned had leverage there.

Davos is missing parts of fingers because he used to be a criminal

Idk about criminal.. Technically yes, but he did have a pretty sound reason to justify his actions.

He moved some onions, for betterment of his lowly family

Hardly criminal

He was a committed smuggler before that for his own gain.

You mean "Burn em all"?

As a knight, no.
Commands that bring dishonor are void.

As a King's guard...oh yeah.

He was a smuggler, and not just some onions for his family.

The order was going to be carried out. Ned knew he would be merciful.

The order was wrong. Ned should have refused.

Ned is Lawful Good by alignment. It got him killed, ultimately. (He never should have confessed, though. That was complete bullshite. If you're going to follow such a strict code of conduct, you have to do it all the way or it is bullshite posturing).

That's not correct, but assuming it is: A crack dealer who provides for his family is not a criminal? Davos was a smuggler, plain and simple.

Does "Hodor" have any significance? What does it mean?

One of my favorite lines of all the books is when theon wq a winterfell he said "well no one could accuse hodor of not knowing his name."

But it's not his name just the random word he says. No significance to anything

I don't know if dealing Crack and smuggling onions is a good comparison.
