I am rewatching season 5 and I was just thinking about that scene from the season 6 trailer where Dany's hand is on a fire pit. Do yall that fire pit looks similar to that pit that is on dragonstone that Melisandra used to burn the leeches? Is it possible Dany flies to Dragonstone this season???

ok scratch that idea. After going back to look at the fire pit in season 3 vs the season 6 trailer, I don't think they are the same.

I want you to be right but there is still a lot left to cover in Mereen. Best case scenario is Dany departs Essos at the end of this season but that's not likely.
The War in Mereen and the Battle of Winterfell should be good climax episodes (like Blackwater) in this season. Tyrion and Barriston Selmy chapters have been released from the Winds of Winter that describe an epic battle going down in Mereen. However, I wouldn't put it past D&D to try and depart Mereen more quietly than in the books.

They've been fricking it up for 3 seasons now (well the story has been fricked since she decided to stay in mereen)
A 30 second shot of dragons every 3 episodes doesn't do anything for me anymore
Watching the unsullied play with their sticks doesn't do it for me any more
Add in Dany basically recycling her story we've already been through and I'm not looking forward to anything about mereen next season. Wake me up when they leave mereen

It might move the needle, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze if I have to sit through 8 episodes of Grey Worm and Messandi dry humping each other just to get the one scene

This story seems to suggest Westeros may be overrun with ice zombies by the time Dany decides to shows up. Because of this, she will probably question why she left Essos in the first place... if there is no real kingdom to conquer in Westeros.

Ugh. One of the worst things added to the show. If they were going to take liberties to try to "spice up" Dany's story in Mereen, they could've done a hell of a lot better than killing Selmy and a love affair between a dickless soldier and a former slave
edit: we're still a week away and this thread is already up to 10 pages, cant wait for next week
