In the books, Rorge wore the Hound's helm until Brienne kills him, the Lem took it.
So yeah, I'm thinking Lem and the BwB killed those people to gaud Sandor into a fight. He definitely recognized Sandor in the first encounter.

Tom O Sevens helping Blackfish is just a crackpot thy...I didn't mean to make it out to be what really happened...cuz it didn't.
But ToS was there during the grilling of Edmure by Jaime, disguised as a singer, I think.

Huh? They definitely recognized him. He's a super large guy with a burnt face. And they held him prisoner and watched him kill baric so they're definitely familiar with him.
And again, regardless of his character name, the BoB doesn't mindlessly slaughter villages of people. They rob them, unless they're Lannister soldiers.
Even if they were now led by LSH, they still wouldn't do that. My guess is they're the show equivalent of the BC.

Unless the show is just combining the BC and BwB (which they may be doing), the village slaughter makes no sense.
