Because it's pretty frickin irrelevant with an army of zombies on the way

(Reason #74919 why JS isn't staying dead btw)

Cersei is probably a lot more willing to deal with Lady Olenna now, so can we call that more of an alliance now? Cersei knows the Tyrells didn't do anything to put her in prison, and they've got a common enemy.

Ummm no

What part are you saying no to? They do have a common enemy.

Yeah...each other

There is no chance they are allies.

He's a major character. You can't really do that.

Because it's all but irrelevant now that Winter is knocking on the door with an army of undead behind it.

Cersai is gonna convince Tommen to use her new zombie toy to kill the frick out of the religious zealots. She has no need to ally with the Tyrells.

Not really. None of them seem to give a shite about it. We still need a solid, unquestioned leader to take the reins in time to fight off the White Walkers. That looks extremely unlikely at this point.

The Mountain can't take them all on his own. And an assault on the temple burns the city to the ground anyway.

Because they don't understand the gravity of their situation yet. Nobody in the seven kingdoms has seen the shite yet.

And they won't for a while. The infighting will continue for a long time.

Why not?
Seems the best way to do it to me. Just film his resurrection that takes place right as they all leave. Save that for the end of the first episode of the next season.

How many people are going to subscribe to HBO just for the next season. This has hit mainstream pretty hard and people that dont watch are going to catch up and be ready for the next season.

If it is already filmed then he could potentially be off set for a long time. Especially if the red lady takes him away after.

And I give a shite about Bran. I think there is a possibility that he ends up ruling the whole shite. He can control the dragons after all. What ever he is doing right now could be the solution to the white walkers.

Well, you're not taking something into account: the Wildlings also know to burn their dead to prevent wights.

I can definitely see the Night's Watch dumping Jon's body with them. Sends a message as to how much they respect any treaties Jon entered into; and in addition they then have to burn Snow or risk facing him (a win-win for the Night's Watch). Tells them as a courtesy that they have one night to pack up and get out, or they will be massacred.

But that's where Melisandre factors in; she pops up after the Night's Watch leaves, while Tormund is still furious and crushed. The Wildlings strike me as the type that would be impressed, even united, by Melisandre's style of magic, and they don't know much of her bad side (yet).

If she revives Snow, then he can leave incognito with the Wildlings, and he and Mel become their new leaders.

Short-term, being north of the Wall is still safer for the Wildlings now, and Mel will want to explore and test her skills vs the WW's, especially since Westeros seems to have failed her.

They took a season to create Zombie Mountain, they can take that long with Snow, as long as we occasionally see Mel waving some burning stuff over his body. We might never even see his face.

Even if they went full retard like that....

Jon body is still around so everyone already knows he's going to be revived do there is no point in hiding it at that point. So again, it's a useless exercise

We've already seen how the red priests revive someone. It takes 5 seconds.

But he still has 9 more episodes to film. 9 episodes that they haven't planned, written out, cast, or gotten a budget for. It's not feasible to do an extra seasons work just for one "gotcha" moment

What do you want to happen?
What do you look for in the show?

Jon snow gets revived episode one of next season.

Show writers swallow their pride in order to maintain a good story.

Instead of worrying about getting a "WOWWWW" moment so damn bad and wanting everyone to suck their dicks about it, just do what's obvious and bring him back ASAP instead of crap like that in order for the story to flow
