Dude, thank you. When I was at my local comic shop yesterday for FCBD, I tried to see if they might have the comic version, but because of the crowd I didn't get a really good look. A lot of really inconsiderate nerds in that place.

How much of this season is actually book 4? Is it all 4?

The wall, Dragonstone, Vale, Dorne, Winterfell, Riverlands, Reach are all still on book 3

The Ironborn are all over the place books 3 & 5, Dany is still a world away.

Yeah, this season has been mixing up books 3-5 a good bit. Some of Jaime's AFFC chapters have already occurred too.

They do, but didn't the Kingsguard book scene not happen until Feast?

Whoa. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy everything they do, I just don't do cosplay or D&D. I'm the bridge between two worlds. Not all nerds are socially awkward and that's me. My thing was I'm standing there clearly looking at the TPB shelf and this dude just walks infront of me and stands there making sure I can't see the books. I was going to say something when his little girl walked up. I don't even want to start on the guy that decided he wasn't going to at least spray on something to cover the BO. Shortest FCBD I've ever been to.

Sounds like you just encountered some shitty dudes in general (unfortunately even the nerd world has those). While I know folks who weren't crazy about FCBD because they were just a little too hardcore about it all, but most were always pretty welcoming of those who wanted to dip into the circle of nerdism.

But even being the "bridge" isn't enough to those you speak of

I love animated novels as well but I normally just get mine from Barnes and Noble or online so I don't get belittled by them

Free Comic Book Day. It's like Black Friday for comics.

Do you make your ASOIAF recipes from the Fat Man's cookbook? Or elsewhere?

We have the recipe book "a feast of ice and fire"

We consider it a resource, but we see recipes as...suggestions. I don't think we've followed precisely yet.

We're getting pretty good at making meat pies.

They're pretty good. Some are a bit "out there" but most are pretty manageable in a modern kitchen.

That's a blackberry pork pie. It's coarse ground pork, onions, celery, a white cheese, eggs, and blackberries. All cooked together in a pie.

Throw in a kings son or two if you really want some flavor.

It was delicious really.

The recipes are quite good. We've been enjoying them.
