Future ‘A Star Wars Story’ Spinoffs on Hold at Lucasfilm

I think it's funny they are blaming Solo and not the fact that it was released while other blockbusters were out and the TLJ backlash.

I bet they are scrambling to do DC with episode IX
If they shite the bed with that one, they might have to sell the property.
SW can't afford another blow to the universe.
The only iconic character left alive in the property died IRL.
SO the treatment of the other characters comes across as a death knell in retrospect.
I am guessing episode 9 opens with Chewie and Lando waking after an all-night love making session in their new bed and breakfast on Yavin 4. Chewie is now a pacifist.

A. I loved Solo

Everyone who saw Solo, seemed to enjoy it.
Some were eager for Obi. I wouldn't give a shite for a Boba Fett movie.
