fringe fans out there you disappoint me if me or andvari dont start the thread it doesnt get put. i didnt get home til after fringe started but just finished it and i'm starting to get excited for where this is heading. only problem i have is that the way it is progressing to me it seems like this will be the final season.

i really enjoyed the focus on lincoln was nice to get him involved for a change besides moping around because olivia is forgetting him. it looks like the machine will appear again from the previews next week looks to be good. great episode this week

An appropiate title considering this episode was really implying a set up for a nice clean ending.

Our Linc finding his true place on the other side suits me just fine. At this point, I'd rather not have entire episodes without Olivia/Peter/Walter though.

So anyone else wondering when we get to see Belly again? He's got to make an appearance at least in the finale right?

***Spoilers***

Yall think Alt Broyles and Alt Nina are just aligned with David Robert Jones or do yall think they are shape shifters?

I'm thinking Broyles is a shape shifter and Nina has just sided with DRJ. I also think Alt Nina sided with DRJ when Alt Bell was still alive and had something to do with his death.

i'm with you i feel like broyles is a shape shifter and nina is the real deal. looking at the versions not in the alt verse it seems nina coulda easily made a decision here or there that coulda have diverged her two characters traits she is pretty much shady in every verse. broyles on the other hand seems like he would have to had an enormous amount of differences to end up so different in the two verses.

Good call. Nina has always been shady whereas Broyles has not. Nina was a VERY loyal disciple of William Bell and it seems in this universe she is a VERY loyal disciple of DRJ.

I have a question, where is William Bell in the alternate universe? I don't ever remember seeing an alternate William just the regular William and how he crossed over. I keep assuming he will somehow come back into the story somehow.

thats an excellent point the original sacrificed himself but they never showed or mentioned his alternate to my recollection

I thought it was a great episode. Lot of possibilities with capturing Nina and getting all that info. Will be interesting to see what Walter discovers while studying ... I mean helping the shape shifter from the other side.

Eta: Broyles is clearly a shape shifter. The original Broyles from that reality was very good and even sacrificed himself to save Olivia. I doubt Peter never existing (before existed again) would have changed his character that much.

In the original alt universe before Peter was erased, he died I believe in a car crash. They have not said to my knowledge what happened to him in the timeline w/o Peter.

My theory is that alt Nina had something to do w/ his death or demise in the new alt universe. Its my thought that she aligned herself w/ DRJ with DRJ and Bell had a falling out.

Nina has always tetered on the edge of good and bad so its not surprising that she would be evil in the alt universe.

I'm working on catching up on the series. I watched season 4 episode 1 and then got sidetracked by other series. There's just so much good TV past and present, it's hard to keep all the balls in the air. I enjoy Fringe but there's not enough hot females on the show.

Did I miss them showing the shape shifter changing to the last guy? Was it implied?

Yes it was. The Fringe Team has their own shapeshifter so now they can fight fire with fire. I have a strong feeling that the shapeshifter will become part of the Fringe team and aid in their investigations.
