Actually that might be another beef of mine.
This whole show is the anti-Scully. She was always skeptical no matter what on X-Files, whereas NOBODY acts surprised by anything on Fringe.
Nobody. I could understand the main cast getting used to bad weirdness but NOBODY seems shocked or surprised by anything happening.
So yes, I do think he could be tried in court for murder with mind control.

I think that everyone but Walter has their moments where they're mortified initially... but after everything they've already seen - They know it's happened so it's not like "That can't happen" and they go about figuring it out.

I'm over halfway through season 2 and I can't remember the last time anyone including bystanders acted shocked by anything happening.

the only person who wasn't really shocked by finding out about the shite that happens with the Fringe team is Walter and that's b/c he had been doing crazy arse experiments years before their creation.

BS. I've watched over 30 episodes in the last week and almost nobody seems truly shocked by anything.

Sorry but yes it is.
Nothing to get all up in arms over. I've still enjoyed pretty much every episode except 1. The other one, I just didn't understand the point of saying the kid got off with counseling. I still liked that episode just not the last 30 seconds.

off the top of my head
people were pretty damn shocked when Olivia flew the hell out of that crashed car to start season 2.
The wife freaked the frick out when her husband turned to dust in the episode where the shadow alien was killing people.
When that girl caught fire in the middle of the street people were pretty damn weirded out.
When people started dropping dead at the wedding everyone was scared shitless.
people were pretty damn shocked when Olivia flew the hell out of that crashed car to start season 2.

Many issues. I've said I disliked one episode and 30 seconds of another. Stop getting your panties in a wad if someone doesn't fall down in orgasmic ecstasy for every second of Fringe.

I have nothing invested in your liking this show or not, my panties are far from in a wad as you say. I am just noticing you complain a lot. i don't think fringe is a flawless show and there are shows i would rank higher on my list. i have no problem with you not enjoying it but the majority of your comments have been negative enough that i wonder why are you still going.

By the way, I'm not sure I have ever had as big a turnaround on a character as Walter.
As I have said before I hated him so much as Denethor, it clouded my judgment of Walter. I think one of the reasons I stopped watching was Walter.
Now I love his character.
He does such an amazing job portraying an almost child like excitement. Noble is very good actor.
