So i watched the first episode of the final season on Friday night on NBC.
I thought it was terrible.
For those who watched the season already on Direct TV, Please tell me this season gets better....

It gets better. There is a signature Daddy Taylor moment involving one of Julie's teachers that's awesome. The finale is good too.

Honestly I can't remember the first ep. all that well, but I did enjoy the whole season.

I thought they focused WAY to much on the 2 most boring characters on the show, Julie and Landry.
I could care less about those 2 going to college. I hope they are done for the season.

Well you may as well quit watching because Julie is a HUGE part of the first 5 eps or so.

Can't really remember the first episode..or any really. But the overall quality of the season is solid.

Like the first 4 or 5 episodes suck, but it picks up after and the final season is greatness.

The last episode is almost the complete opposite of the 1st episode in the final season. Just try to be a little patient and it'll pay off. There is a lot of stuff that happens in the final season.

I thought it was a great episode. It really captured that feeling of leaving home when you are an 18 year old going to college. Saying goodbye to what you've always known and not really knowing if it will ever be that way again.
I really liked the performance by Kyle Chandler portraying the father who is seeing this little girl he raised become a woman and going out on her own.
Thought it was a nice episode. Only thing I don't like is some of the political school stuff about funding and abortion and all that.

This. It's a good season, not the absolute best but definitely worth watching. And Smash is right, the last episode is seriously beautiful.
As for the signature daddy Taylor moment, I gotta go the call to the wife from the hotel room after all the coaches and buddy have been playing poker. One of the funniest scenes of any season IMHO

I tried watching this show in it's first season or so, but it was just too melodramatic for me.
