the show was letting me down but tonight's episode got real. It was a good set up for upcoming weeks with some serious plot twists.

Anyone else watch?

The ending was a great twist, really made the episode worth it...

I thought it was good. I am glad we are starting to see people actually fight their flash forwards instead of just accepting them as fact.

Just got done watching...WOW! I was beginning to think this show would be a dud but totally redeemed itself with this episode. Ending was great.

Second best episode since the first one. Maybe the story line will get a bit more interesting from here on out?

Didn't ABC replace the head writer a month ago? I wonder if this ep is from the new one's? If so, that's really good news for the future shows.

Yea, this one was really good.
Spoiler:

I've been waiting for a twist like this to show that there is still a little uncertainty of the future. Makes this show more compelling to watch.

Yep, great redeemer episode....This does throw a huge kink in the whole 'future is set' thing. What about the dad....he freaked right the f out!

Possible spoilers, not sure but I'll space down to be sure.

The images they were showing at the end of the woman with the two kids - I assume that was Celia - was she the woman that the president had the affair with and was moved to Puerto Rico or something? I don't remember that episode where they were in DC for the Senate hearings all that well but the lady looked familiar.

This is what I've been trying to say. There has to be a way of changing their future after seeing their fast forward. Spoler...Kinda:

I do think the sponsor's daughter is alive and it was her legs they shipped back hom, just like someone called.

What do you mean 'think?' Wasn't that her at the end of the episode sitting at the table and saying, "Hi, dad?" Am I missing something?

Anyways... That was an awesome episode. I'm back in.

Yeah but that was more than likely a dream. We saw her severed legs after the humvee attack and the chick sitting in the chair had legs. His Flash Forward showed him over in Afghanistan or wherever in some kind of a hut when he found her.

Watching this last night, I was starting to think how unrealistic the flashforwards are. Take the black dude and British chick for example. When that day actually comes and his phone goes off, would he non-chalantly say "Excuse me, I've got to take this" or would he be like "Holy fricking shite, We're in the middle of our flashforward!!!!" Would she have just gone slowly over to the window to check on the bird, or would she have freaked the frick out because it was actually happening. I just don't think the reactions in the flashforwards are what they would be in real life because the people are reacting to what is happening instead of reacting to the fact that they are right in the middle of their flashforward.

So I think that somehow--maybe another blackout--everyone will have to eventually forget about their flashforwards. It's the only way they can actually come true.

Also, the self-fullfilling prophesies are pretty mind-bending and cool. The "ghosts" committed suicide because they didn't have a flashforward. But the reason they didn't have a flashforward is because they committed suicide. Like Lost, it's really cool to think about and is going to take some pretty smart writers to have the forethought to actually pull it all off.

I agree. So now you have to ask yourself, why did they have these flashforwards? If they weren't actually seeing the future, then how did these people have the same "memories" and what is it trying to tell them?

I like where this is going.

I think its one of those multiple possible outcomes type scenarios. Everyone saw one possible outcome. Now with this new development, people are going to start taking actions to prevent this possible outcome. The trick will be what to do and when to do it. You can never be sure that your action will not end up causing what you saw in your flashforward or if they will end up stopping your flashforward from coming true.

ETA: Interestingly, we've seen people killing theirself because they had no flashforward. We know there are many of the characters that do not want their flashforward to come true (drinking, marriage ending). But those that actually have something to look forward to ( I mean something really good like money/power/etc) I could see a faction getting very involved with making sure certain flashforwards come true. There are so many directions it could go... Cool show with a ton of potential.
