Well that's one way to discredit yourself and make sure no one take you seriously as a legit film critic I suppose.

If he said that to me, I would've said you goddamn trolling son of a bitch.

C'mon man, you're comparing aquaman to star wars Aquaman is a minor character. No one will give a shite if they screw up the mythology.

Early reviews are always so full of hyperbole it's become an industry joke.

Either:

1) They just want hits and views to their website;

2) Are being paid by the studios as hired mouthpieces as every other company pays random strangers to write glowing reviews on websites or to simply constantly click customer satisfaction 5-star.

3) Just want to be mentioned in a bigger rag.

4) Or were promised an early viewing if they gave a great review...quid pro quo.

Usually a combination of all of the above.

Early reviews are so over-the-top, they make regular reviews seem above board...which as we can see by RT scores the last 10 years - not the case...a lot of crappy movies up there with Godfather.

It seems like no one dislikes a $ making juggernaught movie anymore.

IDGAF

These people all loved that shitshow and it had nothing to do with mythology.

I like the Aquaman character. And Jason Mamoa just exudes cool. The character was cool if not a bit one note in Justice League. But I honestly think I’m more excited for Shazam! than Aquaman. It I’m hanging out with family/friends around Christmas and they want to see this, I will. But I might just wait til like a week before Shazam! comes out and Redbox this

Mamoa is fine as Aquaman. Heard is gorgeous. I'm mostly looking forward to seeing what Wan does with this, and seeing Atlantis and the different ocean nations in all of their glory.

I'm tired of the cold, grey worlds of Krypton, Gotham, and Metropolis that we've had to endure. And that's not all on Snyder's shoulders. Donner didn't have an infinite budget so an ice world Krypton made more sense for his needs than the technicolor, tech heavy utopia of the comic book Krypton. Wonder Woman's Paradise Island was a nice break, but they kept that fairly small in scale.

I'm looking forward to a shining Atlantis, with futuristic fantasy technology mixed in with the ruins of an ancient civilization. I don't want a small, introspective superhero for Aquaman. I want a big movie. And it looks like Wan will deliver.

I'm a big fan of James Wan, though he's never really wandered outside of the horror genre. I'm excited what he can do, and if someone is dropping a JUPITER ASCENDING reference, then I'm in. Of course, I'm the one person who like JUPITER ASCENDING precisely because it was such a damn wheels off space opera.

Looks like Wan is simultaneously shooting the Aquaman porn parody.

@aquamanmovie is a damn revelation full of heart, soul, and most important, fun. Thanks @DorianParksnRec for the tip and congrats to #JamesWan and the entire cast and crew. #Aquaman

@blackfilm
Saw #Aquaman and it's worth seeing. Jason Momoa owns the role. Kept me entertained. They spared no expense on the battle sequences!!!

#aquaman #aquamanmovie I don’t even want to get into it. 6/10

Jason (Not Voorhees ??)
@crimsong19

I can confirm that @aquamanmovie is indeed a thing that exists and is a campy & predictable but long underwater ride with a big budget. #Aquaman #AquamanMovie #instareview #nofilter

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

James Wan is a better director than Snyder, does spectacle well, though the film feels likes it’s tumbling from genre to genre but comes together in the end. Solid B.

Saw #aquaman for the 2nd time tonight. This time in @IMAX. No question you have to see it in IMAX.

The movie is another big step forward for DC and @creepypuppet
does some great work helming his first superhero movie.

Theater was filled and lot's of applause at end.
