If reavers are so primitive (cannibalism, etc) how can they function to the point if building a ship or even fly one?

Have you seen Serenity yet? If not, watch it when you're done with Firefly and it will answer some questions.

Well I know they evolved from humans but once they're transformed into reavers they can't possibly still operate a spacecraft. Maybe I need to watch Serenity again.

The virus just made them super angry, not stupid.

Don't need to watch Serenity anymore

But I will

I'm introducing my wife to firefly right now.

Wouldn't that anger lead them to constantly attack each other? Thus shouldn't they basically attack each other until extinct?

Always bugs me in zombie flicks that brain dead zombies only attack the living. They should also be attacking each other.

The only semi-zombie/vampire films where they actually behaved in that manner was Lifeforce.

They do attack each other, but they prefer fresh meat. They don't even mess with a body unless it's alive.

Revers enjoy torturing people and inflicting pain. Why would they attack others equally impervious to pain?

If you're really looking for the plot hole in Firefly, why did the guy who survived the Reaver attack turn into a Reaver? Reaver isn't caused by PTSD, like they originally thought it was.

Maybe a reaver infected him somehow. It is a virus after all.

I always thought he had simply snapped and they were technically wrong that he had become one of them.

In the movie it shows them grabbing a guy and then dropping him immediately after Mal shot and killed him.

Snapped is one thing, but the guy mutilated himself and was still a functional killing machine.
