It took me a while to get into the series. With all the hype around it I was expecting a ride like GoT. This was a slow build with each step being extremely important for each character to get where they were going in a believable way. The acting was fantastic and the creativity in the writing was grand without going too far outside the bounds of possibility.
With the swerves the writers had thrown out during various intros throughout the series (the plane crash effect on Walt's house, for instance), I was expecting something along those lines when we first see Walt return his condemned home. In retrospect I think the swerve was that there was no swerve lol!
With Walt's luck I really thought he was going to make it out of everything alive. I found it really interesting that Jessie survived. All in all though, great closure for a great series.

We could have an entire series on Gus and his rise to power. I want that more than a series about Saul.

Agree. It ended just as we knew it should. Walt had terminal cancer. We as spared an agonizing death. Jesse is still young and lives on hopefully with some level of closure. I envision Jesse helping Brock now that Brock's mother, Andrea, has been murdered. I can see it now; Jesse and Brock playing video games together. LINK

While I agree, we obviously know how Gus' story ends.

A Gus series would be wild, but the actor currently has his hands full on Revolution as a returning antagonist. The way that guy can swap between mild-mannered and hardass in the blink of an eye never ceases to impress me.
I don't see a Saul show lasting more than two seasons (and that's being generous). Saul was a fun character and his series could be entertaining with its antics but I think that would get old pretty quick. The A-Team ended for a reason and any Saul series would probably follow that same formula.

I never got this line of thinking. Why would Brock not be with his grandmother, Andrea's mom?

BB is an awesome show. Not the GOAT, but it's up there.
And the finale is one of the better finales I've ever seen. It just wrapped things up so nicely. You knew Walt wasn't gonna have a "happy" ending (nor did he deserve one). But he set his kids/family up monetarily in the end, got his revenge on the rednecks, sort of redeemed himself with Jesse (to a point), and died in the one true place that he felt comfortable in, his lab.

Watched it again last night and it really did a good job of closing up everything.
This song at the end was perfect

Man, this thread is making me want to watch the whole series over again. I keep telling my girlfriend to watch it with me, but she isn't interested for some reason.

I get chills every time I hear that song now.

part of me thinks that moments after fleeing the compound, the cops (en route to the scene) saw jesse speeding in the opposite direction & got himself caught
