I’ll watch this movie any fricking time it’s on. I remember sneaking into this movie as a 9 year old when it first came out.

It’s got it all.

A British babe

A fricking American legend

Humor

Action

A classic monster

And an Egyptian babe on screen for 1 minute

I literally...literally just watched this movie.

It's on Amazon Prime.

Love me some Rachel Weisz.

Wish they had sent Brenden Fraser on different adventures in the sequels instead of more mummies.

Character was great. I feel like Brenden Fraser was always thisclose from being used properly over his movie career with occasional movies that did him well.

Matthew Lillard being a less successful version of the same issue.

Fun fact, the actress is completely topless in that scene.

The director filmed a scene where she wore something, thinking the studio would complain, but down the line from the studio to the mpaa to the tv channels that play the movie, the paint job was so good, no one realized she was topless

Another nastaligia film that re-affirms my belief that somewhere in the 2000s Hollywood shifted and forgot how to make good movies.

Just look at the differences between this one and the dumbass Tom Cruise one.

You had real sets, CGI when it was needed not for the hell of it, actually funny characters, it didn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s actually well written with a main character in Brendan Fraser who for me is the closest we’ll ever be to another Harrison Ford type lead

The brother, Jonathan I think, is pretty GD funny in it. Never saw that actor in anything else but I loved his character in the mummy.

The mummy is original indiana Jones tier in terms of how good it is as an adventure movie for me. It was truly amazing. The sets and some of the special effects are still pleasing in 2018.

My son and i (he's 12 years old) have watched this movie together AT LEAST 5 times a year since he was 9. When we went to universal studios when he was 9 all he wanted to ride the mummy ride over and over... great flick

It was a pretty good movie, but they could've named it anything other than The Mummy and we'd be none the wiser for it. I'm still holding out hope for a suspenseful "Creature Feature"-type Mummy movie, as opposed to an action flick...
