Faults (2014) - A must see (on Amazon Prime)

So I revisited this moving last night and it was wonderful. This movie definitely falls into my never-ending love of cults and occultism. I originally watched it back before Netflix was a behemoth and it still had a plentiful library of offbeat, indie, foreign, and documentary movies. It wasn't as good on the rewatch but I can't recommend it strongly enough.
The basic summary is a down on his luck cult expert gets hired to deprogram a couple's daughter (Played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Not much more in terms of plot really. This is more of a dark comedy/psychological movie. Only a couple locations and a handful of actors (and you should recognize all of them for the most part).
It's a brisk 90 minutes and, unlike many movies I recommend, you don't have to give it a full attention the entire time. I'd say watch the first 10-15 minutes and you get a feel for it, and then be sure you're fully focused the final 30 min or so.

Will put it on the list. I think the last SFP rec i checked out was Kill List, which was pretty good.
I also enjoy cult movies. I assume you've seen The Sacrament? I thought that one was good as well.

Yes I love all things Ti West. Can't wait until X goes to Redbox. He's severely underrated as a horror creator.

The ending fricked me up pretty good
Also I enjoyed X; they have a prequel coming out pretty soon I believe.

Leland Orser was perfectly cast in that role.

I thought Kate Winslet's literal cult boobie movie "Holy Smoke" was better.
One thing I've learned from cult deprogramming movies:
Spoiler!
If you have a daughter and she joins a cult, NEVER hire a dude to "deprogram her"...
He will just frick her...
And then by the sheer tyranny of her will, reprogram him.
And now you have two people in the same cult...
And then he ends up taking her shopping and she starts nagging him about watching too much sports.

Thanks for that recommendation. Just finished it and thought it was excellent.
The acting was so well done as well.
