Anyone know why he left in the first place? Was it like they said in the show or a different reason? Are they still really good friends?

As far as I know, it was pretty much how they said it was on the show. Didn't Rob give him the house?

On the show, it was becuase Black had gotten his girl pregnant, and he was leaving to go take care of his kid and focus on his career (security and his clothing line). But I've read and seen several things that say that basically each one of them blamed the other one for pretty much getting too famous and changing. From what I could tell, there "friendship" had worn pretty thin.

Glad to see BB back last night. Even if it won't meet my expectations (because they're so high), I'm glad he's back.

While I agree it was good to have him back, they didn't seem to have the same spark.

Also, Dramas teeth were already fixed in this episode. I noticed something different about him but couldn't put my finger on it. Then they showes him getting veneers and that was it.

Because it wasn't really "real" IMO. Obviously BB and Rob had some sort of falling out, and now MTV is trying to get them back together for some of that chemistry that made R&B so awesome. It definitely feels forced and not real to me, but them both being back together is still better than not IMO.

Yeah. I agree. I'm hoping they hit their stride as the season goes on. There were a couple of great moments in the episode but it wasn't the constant gold of the old times.

But I really want a damn bear chair.

There is a couple of videos on YouTube of Big Black getting interviewed by Bubba the Love Sponge and Black talking mad shite about Rob and basically putting most of the blame on him.

Listen to them, they're pretty good.

Yeah thats what I figured. The episode seemed pretty forced to me last night and you could tell they weren't nearly as close as they used to be. And that just doesn't happen if BB only had a child and had to leave. I hope they become closer and their chemistry picks up because it was so great.

Black said he didn't even live I'n that house that he had a condo down the street and actually Bam Bam lived there with Rob.

Rob wanted a way bigger cut tha Black and he wasn't having that. Also they wanted to start scripting the show and he didn't want that. A lot of other things too.

Wiki:

A one-hour series finale situated around Rob learning that Big's longtime girlfriend is pregnant, and Big moving out of the house to focus on becoming a father. However, two years later in an interview with friend and fellow MTV star Johnny Knoxville, Dyrdek gave different reasons as to why the show ended.

“ I think I quit real early, midway through the third season. They taxed us... you can't film reality TV for nine months, it's psycho. I think towards the end it was such was just such a grind that, really, I was ready to move on. It's like, I live on the set. You know what I mean? [The crew] had one room for a control room, [Big Black] had his room, only he didn't live there, so really it was like I lived in a one bedroom with the lights in everywhere, and just dirty from people, and it was like Pee-wee's Playhouse, and I just... slowly lost it... you know, was just so sick of it.[2] ”

Makes sense can't blame the guy I wouldn't like that kinda setup for an extended period either.

Found the interview: Part 1 of 4

Not sure what to make of it. From what it sounds like, I don't see how Big Black is on the show again. But it does kinds seem like the issue for Big wasn't personally with Rob but more the network and Rob's people. Bubba (who really is an annoying douche) kept trying to coax Big into insulting Rob personally. Bam Bam seemed a lot more willing to take the bait though.

Because money talks.

Not only does he get some fame/relevance back, but his branding gets stronger (double B's).

I have a meetings the rest of the afternoon, but will watch that definitely.
