And screw any haters of Love Actually, that film is fantastic. Knightley is simply angelic in it. The best scene by far is:

Cracks me up that the two kids ended up "love interests" years later on Phineas and Ferb

SPOILERS

Vanessa Doofenschmirtz and Ferb Fletcher

Elf was one of the only movies I couldn't force myself to finish; it was that bad. Not a single funny moment. Made it about a half hour in and eject.

But seriously, I'd take the Colin Firth/Portaguese chick scene over pining loser best friend scenes.

Ranking the stories that were interesting best to worst, the pining best friend over Knightly was near the very bottom next to Emma Thompson's Joni Mitchell story but slightly ahead of Laura Linney's crazy brother story.

I saw both in theaters. I guess I was a real baller, shot caller in 2003. I barely ever go to the movies these days.
