Thinking of joining. There’s an AMC at my sub stop.

It's fantastic, and worth it if you can make it to at least two movies a month. Although just the cost of one IMAX or Dolby showing makes up for the monthly fee.
The fact that you can go to any type of showing (IMAX, Dolby, 3D, etc.) makes it SO worth it. There are occasional events that A-List is not eligible for, like the sneak-peek showings a few weeks before the official release date (e.g., Shazam).
The only limitation is that you are limited to three movies in a one-week period (Friday to Thursday).
MoviePass, even in the golden period, was more of a hassle but had the advantage of you being able to see any movie. With A-List you are limited to AMC so some indy movies won't be available, if that's your thing.

the wife and I dropped Moviepass for Alist and honestly it was the best decision we made in regards to entertainment.
we even got to see Lego Movie 2 sneak peak on Alist, not to mention they did the anniversary showing of Cruel Intentions which is my wifes fav movie - so was nice to see it on the big screen for free.
is worth the money hands down

MoviePass is now a joke, the other services are falling as well. If you have an AMC near you and go to a movie most weekends, join A-List.
It's good for Dolby, Imax and everything except their special showings. Every now and then they'll have a Wednesday night premiere and make it a special event not for A-Listers.
If you need to buy tickets for people going with you, they make it extremely easy. One ticket will be free, they charge your card for the other tickets.
When the wife and I decide on a movie, we'll go into our apps at the same time and get adjoining seats. Or I'll text her and tell her which seat to buy. We've never had a problem. If someone jumps in front of you, just have your partner cancel their ticket and buy another. Very easy.
The only problem we've ever had with the app or ticketing was the Endgame fiasco. But that was for all AMC users, not just the A-Listers. Other than that, it's been gold.
Also, if there's a power outage or someone throws a fire alarm and your movie ends short... they'll give you a rain check ticket. You don't really need it, but you can use it for family or friends to get tickets.
We see every film possible in Dolby. We're seeing Endgame again tonight, in Dolby.

I finally signed up for it last month. The AMC near me upgraded one theater to Dolby Cinema and an evening show there is usually $22. So if I see at least one show a month I break even.

It’s great, plus you can book and cancel movies at any time without online charges that would usually apply. It also comes with free upgrades on popcorn and drinks and a reserved concessions line. Waiting a couple minutes while everyone else stands in those long arse lines is great.

We love it, and the "Who the frick is THIS entitled a-hole?" priority Lane for concessions is epic, too.

Purchased it. Thanks. Going to see a ton of movies this summer. I hate my job so fricking much that this can be a reward for another fricking day done with.

Didn’t know movie pass was still a thing but, a list is easily worth it and the Amc workers are very nice and accommodating when I have to deal with them

I had another rewards one once to some podunk theater that was much less rewarding. It was the only theater within like 90 miles so they had you by the balls but you got $10 for every $100 you spent in theater lol

FYI, A-List gives you 10% back as well. For every $50 you spend (including your monthly fee), they give you a $5 credit.

Didn’t know that. Thanks

Also, A-List letting you see the same movie repeatedly is awesome. That alone is a big improvement from MoviePass. When there's nothing new playing, but you can see Endgame or Star is Born or some other rewatchable movie again, it gives you that great option.

Saw this today. Some people are seeing a two or three dollar increase once their annual contract runs out. Still a great deal.
