Just started this after it heating it mentioned in various documentary threads here. On a scale of 1-10 how devastated will I be v after watching this? Will I be able to go to work tommorow? I am drinking bourbon and I'm a bit of an emotional drunk so there's that.

It's to late. I'm about 45 minutes in. Very intriguing and very well done.

100.

I couldn't finish it. Infuriating, depressing, just all around intense. I'm pretty sure I cried.

I couldn't get "that part" out of my head for a while.

Great documentary, but it's absolutely tragic and horrifying.

Is it really that bad? I'm to the point where Shirley gets put in prison.

I have avoided this one. If has anything to do with a kid dying or being abused I will never watch

It's a documentary. I didn't think the same spoiler rules apply. It's giving the general gist of a historical event. You read the book (or watch the documentary) if you care about the details. I'll delete it since people seem to care.

Eta: Oh yeah spoilers for that wwii doc you wanted to watch..
The Germans lose and the Japanese have 2 atomic bombs dropped on them.
