After the success of Dark Side of the Ring, Vice has made Dark Side of Football. They have also released the first episode of the new series on YouTube.

Full Episode

Trigger warning: Jemele Hill is featured in this episode.

The Birth of Wide Receiver Divas/The Chad Johnson story

I'll watch it later, but how in the world is Chad Johnson listed with the birth of WR divas? Michael Irvin predates him by 20 years and I'm sure there were others prior to Irvin.

Yeah Ocho Cinco was not the first WR Diva or NFL Diva for that matter, plenty of others before him. I'm not even sure he was the loudest either.

The title of the episode is very misleading. The YT caption just says "Birth of the WR Divas" but it's really just a Chad Johnson bio about his antics, with a bunch of mid-00s WRs talking about how they started celebrating.

Other interviews are with Braylon Edwards, TJ Hushmenzada (sp?), Plaxico, and couple others. I watched about 20 minutes and couldn't figure out what the hell it was supposed to be highlighting... Chad or the selfishness of WRs or both.

Keyshawn is another that predates him and would’ve made for a better show

Has anyone watched any of the other episodes? Are they any better than the first/worth watching?

It also doesn't fit the dark side theme. Chad's antics were annoying but not particularly important in the greater scheme of things.

He's also a genuinely good guy. He was known for picking random people off the street and taking them shopping to buy whatever they wanted.

His first season out of the league he said "You know it's over when you buy the new Madden and have to create yourself".
