Cold Mountain - watched it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised

When this came out at the theaters I didn't go to see it despite the accolades it got - it seemed like it would be a chick flick to me.
But I caught it this weekend and IMO it was a very good movie. The thing that really blew me away was the music - those songs by Stobrod and Georgia were haunting.

Loved it. Really well casted and the music is wonderful. I honestly wish Jack White would act more, I felt like he crossed over well.

Thanks for posting the link. I tried to find some of the songs on YouTube but the soundtrack seemed to be all Allison Krause.

That's some great stuff. To be honest I've never been a particular Bluegrass fan but some of these are awesome.

Loved the book, really enjoyed the movie, and frequently listen to the soundtrack.
