She has been terrible and unbelievable the entire series.

I agree. I didnt hate skyler. She made some bad choices but she was in a bad spot.
Claire was just a count. Lol.

Claire almost as despicable of a character as Skyler White

Skyler was pretty normal until she realized her husband was putting her life and her kids lives in serious danger.

Yes. Not really sure how people wanted her to handle all that drama at one time.

She was a bitch to Walt before she knew anything about the drugs. She's not as innocent as y'all are trying to make her sound.

It's an aspect that I didn't entirely catch the first time I watched Breaking Bad. She put down Walter and treated him like a child who wasn't capable of making his own decisions. A big part of him building his own empire was that he had been habitually subjugated by a domineering wife to put his own ambitions behind that of her own and what she thought was the good of the family. He was an incredibly intelligent man who could have been wildly successful who put that on hold to do what his wife told him. Her reacting by cheating on him instead of turning him into the police shows that in part she was just trying to grab back the power that she had become accustomed to think was her own. This entire situation gives Walt's pursuit of power context.
Now Walt does go off the rails in his lust for power. He gets to the point where neither of them can control it anymore. He puts her in an unwinnable position that wasn't her fault at all. It probably shouldn't be downplayed that in part at first she didn't go through with the divorce and turn Walt in because she wanted to protect her children. Then things spiralled out of control. Ultimately I do feel pretty bad for her. Some fricked up stuff happens to her. But She was still a bitch.

I didn't say she was a beacon of morality. I just don't understand the extent of the hate, and this is coming from someone who normally didn't enjoy her scenes, despite the quality acting and the importance to the story.

Again, she was a bitch long before she knew of any of Walt's illegal activities. I don't know how some of y'all can't see that.

I'm surprised Betty Draper hasn't been mentioned in this thread.

Can you imagine Frank in season one putting up with that stunt Claire pulled with the billboard?
