Nope

The Dark Knight Rises was a turd and Superman 2 was a bore.

What about the Matrix? I'd consider Neo a superhero.

You really think there are 30 more Superhero movies that are better than TDKR?

Honestly, yes. That movie is terribly flawed. It's like the movie is about 5 acts and none of them really interact. There's just a ton of nonsensical shite in it. Fixing his broken back was some of the dumbest shite to ever see the silver screen. Then he climbs out of a hole with nothing but a pair of pants and his dick and suddenly reappears in Gotham. It was just a poor movie with a bad narrative.

ETA: I haven't seen BvS yet, so that may come off but Blade and The Matrix would jump way up that list.

I acknowledge the flaws, but it's a very entertaining film IMO. I can watch it over and over and never get bored. It's like Return of the Jedi for me, it's the most flawed film of the trilogy but I just love it.

While I agree on the better part, there's a difference between "Better movie" and better "superhero movie."

I felt The Avengers was about the perfect superhero movie. Kind of a goofy story, but completely enjoyable. Tons of action and superhero moments. I don't need dark and gritty. These are guys in costumes beating up bad guys.

I think Spider-Man deserves more credit for invigorating the genre. I was really flippin cool watching him swing through NYC. This was relatively early on in the computer FX revolution. I loved that movie when I saw it.

I'm really confused about the bottom of this list. Mostly agree with the top, but scrolled to the bottom and scoffed to myself when I saw Big Hero 6 in the top 30.

Then I saw it was below BvS and MoS and I realized I think BH6 should be higher.

After seeing Civil War, the list needs revision, starting in the Top 5.

Let's start it in the top 10 and go from there. I think we need a little more time before we jump Civil War into the top 5. It's pretty strong.

Why is the first Hellboy so low? I loved that movie! And why can't we get Hellboy 3 while I'm at it?!

I'd probably add Rises over BvS and drop BvS completely

There's no probably about it for me. The Dark Knight Rises should be on this list. Batman v. Superman can take a hike.

Interesting to juxtapose that list with the ones we made a few months ago.

Superman 2

The Donner version, not the Lester directed
one they released to the public. I know most of
you have not seen it. Should be top ten.

Superman 78' is an absolute essential, it kind of invented Blockbuster super hero movies.

The list should really only be 5 or 6. note: I factor in historical significance and influence heavily.

1. Batman 1989 (kick-started comic super hero movies again, my personal favorite of all of them, this movie was gigantic for it's time, also has best score of any comic movie ever)
2. Superman 1978 (Started it all, was a huge blockbuster)
3. The Dark Knight (Really a crime movie, but showed you can make high quality, film about super heroes)
4. Iron Man (without it, there is no Marvel/Avengers era we have today)
5. X-Men 2000 (Reinvigorated the genre after Batman & Robin almost destroyed it. Along with Spiderman showed Marvel comics were viable to masses)

X2 is definitely in my top 5.

It opens with possibly the most amazing opening scene in any movie, much less a superhero movie. It has the perfect rise and fall in action. All leading up to the incredible scene at the dam.
