We don’t have to have another Indiana Jones. The character can just go away.
I love the films, but we don’t have to keep recycling.
Pratt as an adventure seeking treasure Hunter sounds fun without trying to fit it within the Indiana Jones world.

HERE'S WHAT THEY'D HAVE TO DO:
The big mistake most all of the Indiana Jones ripoffs make is by setting their films in the present, not the past (especially mid 20th ecntiry or so).
The time peirod of the 1930s is a major character in the Indy franchise.
There's just too much technology in the modern world to have a great adventure films like the 1930s serials and Errol Flynn pictures that George Lucas ripped off for Indy.
A Pratt adventure film set in the 1940s or 50 (or even up to the 80s) could probably work. Just get him on screen with a feisty damsel in the Kate Capshaw mold and let him do heroic shite. It's not hard. That's the formula.
Also, make sure that CGI is basically a banned word on set. If a scene is too "grand" to make practically, then rewrite the scene to fit a more realistic viewpoint. Also, keep the mysticism to Jude-Christian religious mysticism and artifacts. That's what resonated with Indy films.
Of course, you'd probably have to independently finance a film like this b/c Hollywood is essentially incapable now of doing any of what was just laid out for a cash cow film franchise.
