2001: A Space Odyssey. I watched for the first time when I was in high school. Had no idea what was going on and thought it made no sense. Watched it again a few years later and it blew my mind, became one of my favorite movies of all time.

Another one I liked the first time ... but now is just objectively not a good movie,

The Dark Knight Rises

I love Batman movies. And I still like the movie because it's Batman. But sheesh it's a pretty bad movie. The recent " The Batman " blows TDKR out the water.

Rented it from Blockbuster when it came out.
Watched 15mins of it and turned it off, thought it was absolutely retarded (in a bad way).

Watched it a year or two later and thought it was absolutely retarded (in a great way).
