More or less. Each True Detective episode was up on HBOGo in full within the first 5 minutes of air time.

Most times with GoT so many people are trying to watch it gets fricked. Will be able to watch the next day for sure. Most of the time the same night. But don't expect to start at 8:05. Or 9:05 whatever it is

I've noticed for shows like "real time" & "last week tonight", it takes about 24 hrs before they upload. I think I read that their shows taped the same day take longer to be made available.
