The bitching is far from new.

It has definitely grown though. I don’t think it stops regardless, and the finale will be extremely polarizing no matter what happens.

People are going to complain no matter what.

You have those who want the cliche happy ending where Dany and Aegon live and have babies and rule and everything is great and Cersei and the Mountain are dead and Jaime and Brienne are a happy couple and Arya goes down to Storm’s End and well you get the idea.

You have those who want the darker “cold wind blowing over a graveyard” ending where Dany and/or Aegon are dead, Jaime is gone, Hound is gone, King’s Landing is blown all up, Arya leaves Westeros, and so on and such.

Mixed in both of those you have people who won’t be happy unless every half-witted theory they’ve concocted or read or pulled out of nowhere comes true, satisfactory plot lines be damned. Then you have book readers who are mad that every ancillary plot line and character hasn’t been included even though there was no way they ever were going to be included.

It reminds me of the people before Endgame who were saying well it will only make sense if A or B die or I will only be happy if X and Y and Z does this. Those people were never going to be happy because they already decided in their mind that their version of the story was the best and the only way it could play out.

I’ve enjoyed this season. There are a million different ways it could have gone. I could do 20 different rewrites in the next few hours for each character and guess what? It doesn’t fricking matter. People who want to complain about what wasn’t, can never enjoy what is. Quit acting like babies because GoT isn’t giving you the Burger King Whopper treatments

D&D had no chance to stick the landing and please everyone. You never will.

Yes it can. I have faith..... this will be better than BOTB and Blackwater..... combined.

We are over thinking nothing. You can’t set up numerous story lines only to abandon them bc you don’t feel like writing a story that finishes them.

If you do. You will be called out as a shot writer. A reader/ listener/ watcher should need to think through things but should be able to come to a conclusion from what they are shown without numerous questions.
