I'll never understand people getting mad about them remaking a show that has been over for 20+ years that was a remake of something else.
a new Buffy doesn't mean the old one doesn't count anymore.
they used to remake movies every 15 years and noone got upset and acted like it somehow was a frick you to the previous one.
and if you go back to theater times you had a new cast every season performing the exact same plays and making changes.
it's like a certain generation of people has taken "get off my lawn" and extended their lawn to the specific movies/shows they grew up with.

Surprising. Most shows ordered to pilot by these streamers move forward with the season. The pilot must have been quite poor.

Some are comparing it to The Powerpuff girls live action 'sequel' that met a similar fate.

That "something else" was written by the same guy who brought us the TV series, Joss Whedon.

Are you unfamiliar with current day television? Doctor Who? Literally retconned the entire series and the origins of The Doctor.
And considering the very public blow up many from the show had regarding Joss, it's concrete that he wasn't going to be involved.

If u don't watch it how can it retconn what you believe?
Im pretty sure one of the new jurassic park movies goes against what the og jurassic park movie means to me.
I choose to believe that the og is real and i wont watch the new ones
