So what exactly do we think Gus told the feds to have them knocking at the guys door?

ETA: This thread is usually pretty lively this time; not much going on today.....

Dirty Feds. Or Gus gave them proof tying the cousins to that Cartel guy.

Maybe some overzealous Feds wanting revenge for Hank.

Were they really feds?

We know it wasn't Mike but maybe it was some of his old CIA? buddies.

I think Gus needs Walt more than Walt needs Gus.

From a pure business standpoint let Walt work and leave him alone. Although, Walt's days will be numbered if does not deliver the merchandise.

Actually they really are overplaying Walt.

With the super secret set up that Gus put together, how hard would it be for him to find a chemist?

I mean, Gale put the whole lab together so he must have had an idea how all the equipment could be used to make meth. I agree with the poster from last weeks thread that Gale must know by know how to make the meth himself. Jesse is an idiot and he figured it out. Gale is no idiot.

So I disagree that Gus needs Walt more.

Who really thought Gus was feeding the whole police squad just for the hell of it? I initially thought it was so he could talk/confront Walt which he did, but obviously it was to get to the cousin.

You're correct on both counts.

I thought the guy was going to say walter's name or something and have all the police squad wondering WTF

I did too, particulary with the way Walt was surrounded by all of the cops. Talk about an awkward moment if that had transpired.

Anyone else notice that they ALL use flip phones and slam them closed after every single call? I havent seen a flip phone is years..WTF?

Because they are cheap pre-paid phones. I just bought one so I can have a local telephone number in Philly. It helps when an employer sees a 215 number instead of a 504.

I assumed that it was hitmen ordered by Gus because of that evil smile he gave when he heard the gunshots over the phone. I never considered the possibility of it being retaliation by the DEA. No telling how far Gus' influence reaches though...

No hit men, just Gus using his brains, always thinking ahead, he knew his Cartel associate the guy he was talkin to on the phone would suspect him of treachery with the Twins, so he leaked his associates hideout to DEA agents or whoever they were because they looked to be armed in full combat gear.

Now the Cartel will be really pissed, and like they said declare open war on the DEA, Gus set this whole thing up.

old Uncle Tio said you can't trust a South American.

I thought the part where Walt was explaining to Gale "I'm more classical and you are more jazz", and then in walks Jesse was hilarious.

A key sentence when Tio was on the phone
"I don't like him. I don't care who he knows. We're supposed to trust him with our product? Big man. Big Generalissimo!"

From Wikipedia:

quote:

"Generalissimo" is sometimes used in modern English language to refer to a military officer who has obtained political power by a military coup, or in some cases to one who has suspended pre-existing constitutional mechanisms in order to retain power by means of a military hierarchy.

This explains a lot!

Walter was kinda dumb wanting to talk to Gus about all the details & stuff

This kind of behavior, combined with having Jesse attached at the hip, is going to be the deal breaker with Gus.

With all of the turmoil going on in his life, Walt lacks the level of self control needed to have a long term business relationship with Gus.

With the breakdown of his personal life, the writers have kind of turned him into an emotional mess this season.

He needs to chill out, grow a pair, put the shades & the hat back on and get back to being Heisenberg.

I want to see the "Yo, Mister White" Heisenberg that walked into Tucco's headquarters and said,"Thirty-five for the pound of meth you stole, and another fifteen for my partner's pain and suffering."

Heisenberg needs to return and to get back in the game!
