Wasn't woodworking originally introduced to show that Jesse eventually perfected his box in the class. Anyone else think he cooks the meth better than Walt ever did in this episode?

Another idea about the woodworking:

I don't remember how many times he tried to make the box before he finally got it to where it was satisfactory. It may hae been just one time. But you can think of it as Jesse learning from his mistakes (woodworking). He may finally learn from his mistakes (following Walter for so long and letting him tell him what to do) and say "nope, no more. This time you don't tell me what to do."

I tend to feel like the people that have been good will have a happy(ish) ending.

The bad guys die.

Or everyone dies

I am surprised that more people don't think Jesse is going to kill Walts family.

Why would the show end with Jesse killing Walt's family? How would Jesse even escape from his captors at this point? I would be VERY surprised if that happened.

Obviously Walt is going to try and kill Welker and Todd and them, and it seems like Jesse will be there to witness/help him kill or try to kill Welker's gang. They will probably all go out in a blaze of glory.

Been rewatching on AMC. Geez. This show has been building up the ruckus. Talk about a lull between Tuco and Gus.

Will Walt tell the family that the nazis actually killed hank or will it end with them still thinking Walt killed hank?

I saw this on BB wiki page from Gilligan on moral consequences:

quote:

If religion is a reaction of man, and nothing more, it seems to me that it represents a human desire for wrongdoers to be punished. I hate the idea of Idi Amin living in Saudi Arabia for the last 25 years of his life. That galls me to no end. I feel some sort of need for Biblical atonement, or justice, or something. I like to believe there is some comeuppance, that karma kicks in at some point, even if it takes years or decades to happen. My girlfriend says this great thing that’s become my philosophy as well. 'I want to believe there's a heaven. But I can't not believe there's a hell.'

You have to believe that if this is a central theme to the show, Jesse HAS to have some type of redemption, and the Nazis and Llydia suffer the opposite.

Skyler knows something is amiss with the theory - Walt said, "I tried to save him!" - and was about as sincere as he's been on the show.
