So you are ignoring his tone when he said "Jesse?!?!?" Jesse was not the first person he was thinking of based off the way he said his name. Somehow I'm not surprised I'm not going to get credit for it though.

Was awesome that Walt died taking a bullet for Jessie essentially

Motherfricker.
Exceeded my very lofty expectations.
The last verse of El Paso makes so much fricking sense. 90% of people will never catch that.

Yea it was obvious he had no idea Jesse was still alive. In fact I think he truly thought Jesse partnered up with the Nazis to save his life and didn't realize Jesse was a prisoner until he saw him.
I think he was going to kill Jesse with the Nazis but his protective instincts kicked in.

Just watched the making of the episode and Bryan Cranston said this is in fact what happened

He was just thinking out loud - it's not like he hadn't considered it.
But, your point about him not being certain was validated. Heck, I agreed with you - it was not clear that Walt was fired up about Jesse - but he was fired up about GM. I only thought he suspected Jesse might have lived some length of time helping them make blue (and obviously he did, because he asked about it).
His wheels started spinning about GM and the Schwartzs - the blue meth was an afterthought, relatively speaking.

That was a great ending.
I'm so glad he didn't pull what David Chase did with The Sopranos.

What? When he was talking with Badger and Pete or after he got to the compound?
He specifically asked Badger and Pete about the Blue Meth and had his "Ah ha" moment then - he challenged Jack about Jesse being alive and was right (heck, he already knew.)

This is the one episode of Talking Bad that I've liked. You see how hard all of these actors are taking it knowing that it's over
