This is where we'll just disagree. I agree with you that those dismissing GM as a motive are wrong, but I think he has all the pieces to conclude:

1. Jesse is still alive, cooking, or

2. Jesse was kept alive long enough to teach Todd how to get to mid 90s, "Heisenberg" quality meth.

If we're wrong on that point, we'll know soon enough.

no, they didn't have to.

-lydia approaches him at his place of business
-lydia has declan and his crew wiped the frick out because a) the purity level and b) their unwillingness to accept guidance
-lydia encouraging todd to up his purity and the lack of the blue color in it

When did Walt pay the Nazis to kill him? I don't recall a money transaction

Then what the hell are you arguing about? Seems like everything is on the table if you think Walter may doubt that Jesse is dead.

He most certainly hired them, which is the main point. Do contract killers collect before or after?

You are not going to hear it from Breaking Bad diretly. Like I said, they don't need to dumb things down for the viewers.

But they have certainly estblished that the blue meth is Walt/Jesse.

Yes. Hank was suspicious that Heisenberg was still active because the blue meth was still circulating a few weeks after Fring's death so having it in circulation months after he "retired" and Lydia and even the Nazis wanted him back is a pretty big clue.

Agree up front and pay afterwards. Do you recall the terms that they agreed to?

Jesse and Walt are the only ones that know the tweak to get blue.

Uh - about $70 million dollars - they wouldn't take it to spare Hank, but Jack clearly considered that payment in full for Jesse (and to spare Walt, even.)

Are you retarded? Heisenberg never exists without Walt getting fricked out of Gray Matter.

I do - he was supposed to cook a batch for them (they wanted 2) - but, $70 million is better than a batch of meth - better than about 35 batches of meth.

serious post, to not just you, but everyone engaged in this argument.

whenever the new episode thread gets started tomorrow, let us all leave this bickering out of it. if we continue to argue, let's do it in this thread instead.

So Walt kills Gretchen and Elliot and Jesse cooks meth forever. That's how the show ends. Awesome. So in your opinion, Walt thinks Jesse is dead, and therefor they don't cross paths in the finale. Because how can they cross paths, if Walt thinks he's dead and Jesse is held hostage and can't escape because they would kill Brock. I would like your valued opinion on this problem.

i gotta disagree, lunchbox. im on the other side. walt said on the phone with skyler that he still had things to do. he wanted to get a team of mercenaries to kill the nazis in the convo with saul. he has had this revenge mission in mind for quite some time. it's not all about GM
