Except he says that it IS (not WAS) reaching as far as Europe, meaning there is still blue meth out there, which causes him to ask her if Heisenberg is STILL alive.
It doesn't have to mean that though. There could still be reports about meth that made it over there a few months ago. You're just making an assumption to fit your argument.

Walt knows his meth has already reached Europe. In that particular part of the interview, if that was mentioned, he would probably think they were just talking about him being its spoken in past tense.
there are continued reports of blue methamphetamine considered his signature product throughout the southwest and some evidence of reaching as far as europe

You two are vastly underestimating the pride/ego of Walter in terms of this blue meth. The blue meth is HIS meth. It has been his meth for 3-4 years. If you aren't going to accept that fact, established throughout the show, then there's no point in keeping this up.
This has nothing to do with what I'm arguing, but thanks for pointing out things no one has claimed.

You're quick to start the "well you can't just say Walter knows this happened, jsut because we know" but then you say Walter should just think Jesse is dead because "it was supposed to happen."
Good fricking god. He paid the Nazis to kill Jesse then handed him over. It is reasonable to assume Walt thinks Jesse has been killed way before that interview aired. Are you seriously trying to argue against that?

Could still be meth getting moved from distributor to street level dealer.

Ignoring real world science for a second, and just focusing on the meth science/mythology of Breaking Bad - the only "true" blue meth that we know of is the result of methlymine AND Walt's customized revision of his process to accomodate methlymine as the precursor.
Nail meet hammer, the blue color is from Walt's personal tweak of chemistry. His signature

And your whole train of thought is an assumption as well. That's why talking about things that may happen in the next episode is called PREDICTIONS.
You are just the idiot trying, and failing, to get everyone on your train of thought.
So according to your line of thought, the ONLY reason Walter is going back to New Mexico is to attack Grey Matter and nothing else?

Brings up a good argument on Walter's thought process though..
What would be more important to Walt, his money or his formula.
His formula is really now his only legacy.

I agree with you. This will be proven out - either Walt will be surprised to discover Jesse is still alive, or it will be clear that he figured it out (and probably how/when). However, he also feels that way about Grey Matter - he feels as if he was robbed of the financial rewards - now, part of it he accepted the buyout - and his pride and foibles drove that, I'll wager - he refused to take their money, but used it as a cover for his meth profits.
However, the public dismissal of his contribution is just as big a sting to his ego as the blue meth, "his" meth as you say.
There are dual motives, then, for his return to New Mexico.

goddamn, man, you are hopeless

Damn LNCH. Get ahold of yourself and clean out your vag. Sure Walt could think that Jesse is dead. Is it reasonable to assume that Walt could doubt this based on what he saw in the interview on tv? Yes. Doubt is not certainty and for you to deny that there could be 0 doubt in walt's mind is just absurd.

Actually it's quite the opposite. You and Chair ASSUME that Walt knows it is his meth being reported on, when there is no actual evidence of that.

Yea, you two speak for everyone.

GrAy Matter, and yes that is his intention.
ETA: OF course Jesse will more than likely end up involved, but his main mission now is Gray Matter.

I never said zero. All I said is that there is no guarantee that Walt knows Jesse is alive based off that interview.

Did they say this in the show?

Lets assume you are right. Walt has no idea Jesse is alive. How do Jesse and Walt cross paths again in the finale if he thinks Jesse isn't alive? And Jesse is being held hostage. How do they meet again?! Are you really this fricking stupid?

Uh oh the spelling police, lord why did they invent an auto-correct on a cell phone if I would be called out?
So there will ZERO interaction with the neo-Nazis because he has no qualms with them?

He paid them? I don't recall this happening in the show

For his money, sure. Not because of Jesse.
