IMO it comes in 2nd, just behind historically inaccurate movies.

Dan, what is ignorant is to think that the many good themes and drama of the movie are lost because a factual basis in reality was not followed.

I'll bet you are a hoot at parties.

If your jaw wasn't clenched in anger when Wallace killed the first round of filthy English for slaying his love, then you are completely dickless and deserve to die.

I thought we established quite some time ago that Im not this Dan Kern.

Anyways USMC, my jaw wasnt clinched with anger, I was too distracted by the dead squirrel on Mel Gibsons head to enjoy the simplistic plot in that movie. Perhaps I should watch it again and make a concerted effort to block out the idiotic dialogue, the roadkill on Gibsons dome and moronic depiction of the English.

I am sorry if I offended you but I am a pompous arse that comes to TDs for mindless entertainment. I find posters like General rather funny who like to flame his own pseudo intellec. He gets his ya-yas off on appearing smart.

FWIW I find the mindless, the purported intellectual and the confirmed intellectual all equally amusing.

But most pathetic are those spouting off their resume on an anonymous (quasi-anonymous) message board.

But we agree on the movie and that Gen. Grant is a major douchebag.

yeah, I agree with knocking him down a peg, but you don't have to post your resume on here to validate your opinion

Lol. I posted the same thought before I read yours..

I will tell you whats a good movie.

I really enjoyed Millers Crossing, I liked Amadeus, I think a really good movie, and that you would enjoy too is Europa, Europa. Im pretty sure you would like that movie USMC. Let me think...I liked O Brother Where Art Thou, Shawshank Redemption, the Green Mile, and Ill add more.

There are so many good movies but when pressed, its hard for me to recall them all. Im still thinking. Strangest thing isnt it?

lol

General. You just lost all credibility if you even had any to start.

You say Amadeus was a great movie which took plenty of liberties with the facts. He was not in fact poisoned as he was in the movie.

How can you love one movie with loose facts then hate another?

I enjoyed Amadeus because of the music mostly. The movie really didnt bill itself as a true story but more a view from a rival that hated him.

I think most people could appreciate the music in Amadeus.

I find it more pathetic that some of us have over 22 thousand posts on an anonymous (quasi-anonymous) message board.
