It's not my favorite episode or favorite scene, but one that I always remember that makes me is the episode where Shawn gets drunk. Him and Cory slip off into the bathroom at a party and start pulling off of some liquor and just act completely stupid. Shawn ends up drinking during the day and skips class a bunch. The gang goes to his place and to ask what's wrong and they ask "are you drunk?" Shawn goes "I've been drunk all week!" lulz. Then he ends up pushing that frickin awful Angela and quits drinking forever.

Btw when I was a youngster and BMW was coming on in prime time, my dad and I used to tape the episodes. We still have a few VHSs at home with old school BMW on them. I think that's one reason why I love the show so much because of all the memories it brings back.

I really love how the characters evolved over the series

Eric got dumber and dumber, topanga went from weird hippy chick to fatso, shawn went from happy go lucky ladies man to wristcutting crying liberal baby

I dont think a single episode went by in the last couple of seasons where shawn wasn't mad/crying/upset at SOMETHING

feeny is retired and spends most mornings tending to his garden.

the mathhews's are still holding down the fort.

cory and topanga are married and expecting their 2nd child. cory has a good job. topanga is a stay at home mom but secretly wants to work.

sean is still an emotional douche who is no longer dating that black chick.

morgan is slutting it up at temple university.

eric lives in california and has a prescription for legal weed.

and fatter, and less cool, and a lot more weird and annoying

don't forget the middle stage, attractive popular A-list girl in the school. She had some weird stages in her life ha.

He was originally a punk criminal. Then somehow turned into Mr. Popular that everyone liked. Then turned into a punk again. Then turned into a weirdo in college.

Ummmmmm...last few seasons? Try every episode of bmw EVER. That's one of the things I liked least about the show, Shawn was ALWAYS complaining about something and somebody (be it Cory, frickin Alan Matthews, Feeny, somebody) had to give him a counseling session.

"You don't understand Cory, my life is hard"
"Life is hard, Shawn"
"YOU CAN'T IMAGINE what I've gone through, ok? You just can't. I HAVE NO FAMILY"
etc. etc. etc.

Btw, how rad was Alan Matthews as a dad?

I was pretty moved in the episode where Mr. Turner got in the motorcycle accident in season 4 I believe. Shawn is in the hospital and Mr Turner is in a coma. Shawn is talking and says "Don't Blow me off God. Don't take away one of the handful of people that care about me. God, I don't want to be empty inside anymore."

I really felt a connection to how alone Shawn felt in his life. His dad was in and out. His mom was always on the run. Mr. Turner was a huge part of his life.

This was also the episode when Shawn was in that cult that hugged all the time "the Centre". Led by that creepy guy Mr. Mac.

Yet another in a long line of examples of Alan Matthews being badass. He didn't take that shite from Mr. Mac. Didn't he push him up against the wall and threaten him?

He did and then Amy Matthews voice of reason interrupted and said that "this man would love a lawsuit" and then Mac looked at him with a jackass grin and nodded his head.

the more you watch and remember the show, the more it makes Shawn's whole character just utterly dispicable

The whole concept was just creepy. They lived there together. Everyone hugged all the time. No one said anything judgemental. Mac was just a weirdo.

I wonder what the writers were thinking when they evolved Shawn's character? I guess they always tried to make him the opposite of Cory, be it the rouge, the popular kid, the college liberal who dates a black chick, etc.

Big time. I was so happy when Alan threw him against the wall.

I can't stand when you are yelling at someone and they just lightly talk back

Mac took away their free will. He took their "emptiness" before they got there and converted those hollow feelings into how he thought they should live. He wanted them to live as one monolithic support group. At that point he could manipulate them and everything he said or wanted them to do was gospel.

That's what I feel was wrong with the place.

Frankie moved to California and started selling weed with his buddy.

Griff now works in government in a small Indiana town and is working on his girlfriend's political campaign.
