I mean, he was gay at a time where being such wasn't all that well accepted. It has to be a part of the story. But hopefully it focuses on him being one of the greatest rock front men of all time and not necessarily a "gay pride" movie (which I don't think it will be)

I would wager that 70% or more of straight males in society today would say they are not homophobic. Of that group, I would bet 99.99% would not want to see an on screen fudge packing male on male scene.
