I don't really remember watching it much over the summer as a kid. Only watched it when I was home sick from school.

I think in the summer, we were usually already outside playing when it came on, or already at the pool.

I didn’t really watch a lot in the summer either, unless the Braves played a noon baseball game on TBS.

I live in Lafayette, and back when I was in school, we would catch the Lafayette CBS affiliate and the Baton Rouge CBS affiliate. The show would air at 10 AM in Lafayette, and 11 AM in Baton Rouge, and the Baton Rouge affiliate was always a day behind in episodes. So if a new price is right aired on Monday in Lafayette at 10, Baton Rouge which show Friday’s episode at 11.

So I would watch both episodes, and then the Braves game at 12 o’clock

I miss those days. On a good summer day, you could watch the Braves on TBS, the Cubs and White Sox on WGN, and the Rangers and Astros on WBTR.

As a child I lived in Dubai. The only American tv we saw was whatever my family could record and send to us. But, because of the stringent anti-obscenity laws there, what they sent us had to be very vanilla. As such, the recordings were mainly of Loony Tunes cartoons and Price is Right. Every morning when eating breakfast, we'd watch Price is Right. Every night before bed, we'd watch Price is Right.

I actually got a chance to be in the audience right before Bob retired.

Watching The Price Is Right in the 80's while staying home sick from school is one of my fondest childhood memories. Weird thing is I don't really remember watching it much over the summer as a kid. Only watched it when I was home sick from school.

TPIR on a childhood sick day is only rivaled by TPIR in the time slot before the NCAA tourney's first game
