re: Black Widow grossed $80 million in theaters and $60 million on Disney+ over the weekend

I haven’t watched it and have no interest in watching it, but I think a lot of the numbers for this film will be inflated by the lack of anything by decent out there. This has likely been the worst summer for film releases in a long time and that includes last summer.

Movies are just awful and show no creativity.

But people are bored as others have said and this was a chance for many to go to the theatre for an action movie. I think it got a ton of viewers it wouldn’t have in any normal circumstances. It did get a bunch in Disney Plus, but again, the lack of any real new films of note has led people to watch anything.
