Anybody else watch the pilot the other night? I thought it was very good and am intrigued to see how they develop the story in the next few episodes.

I watched the pilot last week. I am very excited for this show. It caught my interest right away and with Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis, this is looking like to be my new favorite show

I'll keep watching. I laugh every time they say "Bobby Axelrod" so dramatically though. Sounds like a Will Ferrell character.

It's ok. The writing is pretty forced and kind of shitty ala a lot of showtime shows.
You have two guys trying to act like Ryan Gosling in The Big Short and they can't pull it off.
I'll give it a shot but the cast is pretty weak IMO.

I don't love Axe actor, but I thought the rest of the cast was really great. Giamatti and his wife are on point.

But the trader side has been really under whelming so far.

I wanted to like this show, but couldn't make it through episode 2. Everything felt forced and overwraught. I can't decide if that was due to the writing or acting/casting, but it wasn't working for me at all.
I might give it another go later, b/c it is something I should like for a variety of reasons, but was a major disappointment.

I can't agree with this more. Other than Giamatti it's fricking garbage. Every scene involving Axe or his company just feels like the writers doing nothing but seeing who can come up with the bigger 'Gotcha' line. Not a single thing about this show feels fresh.

Yep. And all the gotcha lines are shitty.
The dude who plays Axe's assistant will always be that pussy from breaking bad to me.

The board room scene where he was calling people out and using gratuitous language was really bad.
I admit.
That guy does not pull off that role well at all.
