futurama dog episode

That episode came on the night my dog died. He was part of our family from the time I was 5 until 19. That sucked.

Here is the Big Bird/Mr. Hooper clip.

I love that the whole buildup to explain death to children ends with "just because."

Also, pretty disrespectful of BB to call him Mr. Looper. What a dick.

while I will contend that this is one of the greatest finales for a show, EVER, it's not really tear worthy so much as it's just beautifully done and thought provoking

I agree with all of that, and I've never watched a single minute of the show aside from the last however minutes of the finale.

Also, you people suck at posting links.

Six Feet Under finale ending.

Would you recommend doing that? I've heard how awesome the SFU finale is, but I just don't have the time to invest 6 seasons (or however many) into watching it. I know I wouldn't know anything about the characters or the story, but would you say it was worth watching just the finale with no prior experience?

I'll always remember my mother sobbing during that episode.

Man, Scrubs may have used music better in its scenes than any other show in history.

this and people make fun of scrubs. This is why its one of the best shows ever. It mixes comedy into that. Name another show that can do it so brilliantly.

Boy meets world finale. Class dismissed

NOT PENNY'S BOAT

In my opinion, the single greatest episode of any show in TV history.

If Band of Brothers counts, then I can probably think of 3 or 4 moments that made me tear up.

My winner:

The Pacific scene in the last episode when the Medal Of Honor is brought to John Basilone's family by his wife that they were meeting for the first time. When the dad breaks down and cries I fricking lost it. I was balling in my living room.

Sure. I've thought about picking up 6FU and watching them, but I just don't have the time. And the ending of the finale to it was incredible, and that's coming from someone who has literally never seen a single minute of the show.

It's the kind of ending that just wraps up the character's lives (literally), but doesn't really "spoil" any of the show. You'll see what I mean if you decide to click the link. But it really is a beautiful ending.

Most people agree Scrubs, in its prime, was a great show.

People make fun of how gay you are for Scrubs.

There is a difference.

Nice, I think I'll try it.

You get this feeling even without knowing anything at all about the characters' stories prior to the ending?

It's not going to be nearly as powerful without watching the whole series first, and there's sort of a major spoiler since one of the characters isn't in the montage in the same capacity as the rest (though it's tough to pick up on and if he does watch the series, probably won't remember).

If you're sure you're never going to watch it, go for it. But you'll be pissed if you do. It's one of the best dramas ever.

That episode was called "Love's Labor Lost". And not only is it considered the best episode of ER, it is considered amongst the finest hours of dramatic television ever.

BUT, I don't put it in the "biggest tearjerker" moments.

For that, I'll go with Edith Bunker dying; "Damn, damn, damn!!"; "Goodbye" on MASH; Jurassic Bark; Traci Lords' "retirement". I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

Oh, and frick you ipodking. Why would you post that gif without warning people!!!
