but i worry that cody is giving jess too much say-so. she has a need to be liked by elena and raven and shes deadset right now that josh is going to be evicted.

I agree that Cody needs to stay focused, but letting Jess feel like she is in charge is a good move right now. She played her cards well enough the week that he was gone and understands the lay of the land better than him at the moment. Plus, she actually does have the power, with HOH and the Hex. So keep her happy, then take over once he has been back in for a week and potentially has his own power if he gets HOH.

Besides, Cody wants Josh out too. They have personal beef. He is a good, not controversial first target that the entire house will support. Use that time to repair the relationship with Mark and Elena, and also reinforce his connection with Alex and Jason, and perhaps lull Paul into getting comfortable with him.

That is not wasting an HOH by Jess. Alex would have wasted hers if Paul had convinced the house to take out Jess because Jess was a number for her. Josh will never be a vote for them, so getting him out is still a win and not upsetting anyone in the process is another win.

Plus, that dude is terrible. Was funny watching him melt for a few weeks, will be great watching him implode this week, but his time is done. He has nothing left to offer but a blubbering queef as he cries and curses his way out the door

As for the Jess noms, my guess is they are playing it cool knowing they are still safe for three more weeks. Use this time to get back into the good graces of the house to get out Josh, which is a high priority for Cody anyway. Then hope Cody wins HOH next week and if not, see if Paul or one of his minions try to back stab them.

And it looks like there is already a plan to back stab Jess & Cody by Paul, Xmas, Alex, & Jason to try and evict Ramses. They were working on Raven and Matt last night. Raven seemed down with it, but Matt seemed a little hesitant and said to talk about it after veto. They are not even mentioning it to Elena or Mark. I hope this happens so it puts a clear divide in the house.

From my catching up reading this morning, it seems that a lot of people got suspicious of Mark when he was taking up for Cody while Josh was meatballing him during the HOH. Add that with the crap from Dom's talk show and everyone is suspicious of Mark, and by extension Elena. Seems that Kevin (who's blamed the $25k and voting to evict Jillian out on Ramses), Paul, Alex, Christmas, and Jason want out Ramses and that Jessica, Cody, Mark, and Elena want out Josh. Matt and Raven being swing votes, but i can't see Raven going against Paul she's his little puppy.

Seems like a wasted week for Jessica, but POV will be massively important.

i admire their persistence, but this seems dumb on pauls part as he knows jess has the hex and seems to believe its another "reset week". production's gonna get as much mileage out of this rivalry as they can

Yeah I'm not surprised, Paul can't help himself.

But again, I don't see it as a wasted HOH. Ramses is a number but not a real ally. It will get the other side to expose themselves, and they still have the Hex power to blind side them.

Then use Paul and Xmas' aggressive play to fully swing Mark and Elena over.

Not a terrible outcome and very entertaining either way.

At this point that's all I'm hoping for. Not really cheering for anyone this season besides maybe Kevin, and he's really not that great of a game player, at least not yet.

Just seems that with the power, and the ability to basically assure themselves they can't be evicted, they should make a power move. Not necessarily Paul, but Jessica can take a shot at Jason or Alex.

I haven't been following the thread as closely as seasons past but what's the consensus on the players overall?

This has been collectively the smartest cast in a long time. The house is filled with people who have a legit understanding of the game or are intelligent in their own right.

Plus, it is light on the celebratory/model wannabes that the show has been pushing on us in the past.

BB16 was the biggest group of followers in the history of he show. They let an undercover cop runs circles around them.

He's not even better than boogie. Boogie won an all star season. Derrick won a season full of sheep

derrick is 3rd son. Boogie sucked in his first season and won all stars because of will. He was decent and did contribute but I wouldn't even put boogie top 10 probably

Absolutely, mike boogie didn't make it to jury on BB14. I don't care if the cast wasn't game savvy... Derrick was never nominated. At all

Well van and derrick were polar opposites when it came to gameplay. Van applied pressure and practically intimidated people and played both sides. Derrick navigated conversations and pretty much pulled inception tricks on people to get what he wanted for example when Nicole got evicted the second time. Jmo

dude the fact that you think 16 was good cast disqualifies you from any opinion

Ok ok I don't disagree. I personally just couldn't stand the 15 and 17 cast in comparison

Yeah not really. I could say the same after you said derrick wasn't as good as boogie

BB16 was a season of a wolf among sheep, no doubt. But I still believe Derrick played the 3rd best game of all time considering he never touched the block once, especially considering there was 4 nominees nominated weekly in the early part of the season due to the Battle of the Block is pretty remarkable. But yeah, that season's cast was a bigger collection of sheep that this one is.

This conversation proves we need another all star season. Van vs Derrick would be worth it. Who else would y'all add??
