That was the first and only time Aaryn will be asked those questions.
It was the first but it will not be the last. Unless Aaryn goes home and never leaves her house again.

Amanda's already working GM. Telling her to target Elissa and how proud Aaryn would of her for getting rid of her.

She will be asked about it many more times. Julie kept on her about it and didn't let up. It was a lot more than just reading her quotes and you know it.

quote:We know CBS couldn't care less about that stuff though. If they did, she would've been kicked out of the house for saying what she said, to begin with. Same with Amanda. Instead, they saw ratings jump an loved every minute of it. Tonight was no different. I feel ambivalent on both sides.
I mostly agree here.
But I do think Julie had to talk about it. It was a big part of season's storyline.
But to me what made it most distasteful was the crowd reaction. Had it been a one on one interview, I wouldn't have minded it at all.
But throwing her in front of the firing squad was cheap and opportunistic imo. Like you so eloquently said, it was like some cathartic excercise that came off just as mean spirited as Aaryn's comments did weeks ago.
This show has a responsibility to help their participants adjust upon exiting the house, and that was the exact opposite of protecting their delicate re-entry to the world.
Aaryn is in a very precarious moment, and CBS did her no favors for sure.
She's an adult, not a child. She said what she said and got ambushed for it. I'm sure CBS is giddy right now because ratings will be huge.

that is true. I've read articles by former members who said it was hard re-entering the real world after the show due to constant paranoia.

Judd will be in a chicken suit. I see McCrae leaving this week. Happens all the time when showmances are on the block. The male is always sent home.

Who else is going to ask her. Aaryn will never be heard of again after the finale.
She deserved every bit of those questions because she said some ignorant shite. I didn't see anyone complain when Dan called Amanda out on her racist comments and everything else.
Poor Aaryn got booed, laughed at, and asked questions about things that came out of her mouth. She was told in the house how she was coming across, but she continued saying ignorant things. Learn to take responsibility for the things you say instead of blaming it on being from Texas.

Ok. Whatever you say. Dan's one comment was exactly the same as Julie and Aaryn. Exactly the same.

I definitely agree with that. It was a cringe worthy moment. But it was her first response before it hit her what was happening.
That moment and the "Candice and I are great friends" were really bad and what drew the most laughter from the crowd.
But as for saying she'll never be asked about this stuff again. That's just wrong. Maybe not on TV, but in her life this will absolutely come up for a very long time.
That's what we were talking about.
I agree, she said those things. But she had also never been in a situation like that before and most of us never will.
I hesitate to judge in situations like that.

Well Amanda hasn't been interviewed by Julie yet.

I watching the episode now.
I thought it was so funny that during the McCrae Amanda wedding and GM is to lazy to stand up the whole time. she is sitting down watching the wedding thing. I got a good laugh from that

You didn't say shite about Julie.

???
You said Dan's comments and Julie's interview weren't on the same level. So I responded with Julie hasn't interviewed Amanda yet.

you can bet that talk shows are going to ask her and paparazzi are going to ask her as soon as she gets out and the paps will be MUCH crueler than what Julie did in hopes of catching a freakout on video. If she is smart, she will issue a public apology via her publicist and go back to her parents ranch and quietly live out her remaining college years at a junior college.
