No, he likes Community but admitted to trolling just to screw with people. You shouldn't have stopped reading before engaging.

what if community was on CBS. Do you think it would get alot more viewers. I always thought about that and I think they would.

This is a what-if that I can't wrap my head around. CBS would never take a chance on a show like Community. We all shite on NBC and FOX for cancelling quirky shows early, but the reality is that they are the only ones taking chances in the first place. Fox moreso than NBC, but still.

Yes, there are shows like Friends, Mad About You, and Will & Grace that could have been made for any network. But by and large, The Office, P&R, Community, My Name is Earl, Andy Barker PI, Chuck, 30 Rock and even Scrubs were all risks. Andy Barker PI only lasted 6 eps, but the rest paid off. I can only imagine those shows airing on Fox, or cable.

Fox has taken way more chances than anyone else. The Tick, all of the animated stuff, Breaking In, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, AD, and on and on.

ABC is a distant third in this competition, with scant examples. Pushing Daisies and Modern Family are all I can think of.

CBS only pushes the envelope with raunchy jokes. All their shows are formulaic and mediocre. The biggest risk they've taken with a sitcom is HIMYM.

CBS takes different types of risks...

shite My Dad Says, Swingtown (Show about swingers in the 70's), Kid Nation (took flack for endangering kids), Viva Laughlin (a musical dramedy)...

I like them both.I do love that TBS has started showing 4 episodes of BBT on certain nights.I watch Big Bang Theory and Rules of Engagement and then catch Community and Parks and Recreation On Demand. To me Sheldon Cooper is the funniest character on TV.Don't judge me.
