You know there's going to be some bullshite twist.

He didn't tell them how it was his fault. He could have explicitly explained to them that he set her up. Those sorts of details would have been convincing without the theatricals.

Chuck is dead... they showed the US Suicide Hotline shortly there after... don't know if anyone caught that?

I think he's dead as well, but I think they show that either way since it's still the intent of committing suicide

He attempted suicide, doesn't mean he died.

He was legit the entire series. Probably the best.

If I'm the executor, here's the pic I use on Chuck's obit.

There's no reason for that twist. Chuck is no doubt dead.

Damn Howard saved 5 million by Chuck dying

What was the point of the opening scene?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 10:23 pm to Byron Bojangles III
I'm kind of wondering what is happening to Chuck's estate or if they end up going into that at all. Charity? Jimmy? Back to the firm?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 10:24 pm to PortCityTiger24
I think that Chuck was lying he really did care at some level for Jimmy deep down
Posted on 6/19/17 at 10:27 pm to Byron Bojangles III
I agree. He was just intentionally forcing a close to the relationship and driving Jimmy away for good, leaving no room for the door to remain even cracked open.

Ashes are worthless....
I'm assuming Jimmy will get whatever there is as far as bank accounts, etc.

Also, the opening scene bookends the relationship for Jimmy and Chuck, giving the end of the episode and Chuck a complete and final arc. You can see the story of their relationship summarized.

Millions in the bank isn't. That money doesn't just disappear because you burned your house down.
EDIT: That's what I'm wondering in regards to Jimmy. That kind of windfall would greatly affect his character arc. I think that for the sake of the story at least that he can't get that money
