Shifting gears from the cartel/Lalo/Gus to the slower paced, rather mediocre, Gene storyline in the last few episodes was jarring and a letdown.

To take it further, I think how you felt about the last few episodes depends on how you felt about the beginning of the show. If you really liked the first two seasons, you probably really liked the ending. If you didn’t care for it until Gus showed back up, then you probably didn’t. One isn’t right or wrong, it’s just two different flavors, and it comes down to which one you liked better.

Personally, I loved the first two seasons, so I really liked the last 5 episodes. It’s almost like they gave us endings for both camps: for some, the show ended with Lalo’s death, and everything after that might as well have been another El Camino. For others, the Saul/Jimmy ending was was what they wanted. Either way, I think that the whole show will be viewed differently by everyone once you can binge the whole thing. The slowness of week to week, paired with multiple years between seasons played a part in its reception too.

I quietly rooted for both Walter White & Saul to "get away with it" in their respective series.

However, Walt went from a passive Mr Chips to a monsterous Scarface and appropriately got death. Saul went from Slippin' Jimmy to cartel lawyer to a finally-honest/finally-culpable Jimmy McGill and got an appropriate life-long sentence for a life of crime.

I think, ultimately, the endings for both characters were appropriate & realistic.

I am just gonna tell people to stop watching after Lalo dies...spoiler would be better than letting them watch the last 3 shifty episodes

I enjoyed the black and white episodes except for the finale. I thought the court room speech was weak AF and could have been better. I was also excited about Cranston and Paul cameos but they fell flat.

I got through 3/4's of it last night. Of course, it has been totally spoiled by articles and pics on the internet. Not sure if i will finish. Just don't care about what happens to Saul. Big miss for Gilligan.

Just finished season 6 last night. It was a bit underwhelming for me. Not terrible, but I expected more "flash". Season 6 as a whole was probably my favorite, but the last few episodes were meh. After the Lalo climax, it kinda just pittered out.

I understood the Saul back to Jimmy transformation, but it seemed like the ending could've been played up somehow. Enjoyed the series.

Now, I think I will rewatch Breaking Bad. It was one of my favorite TV shows of all time. Never did a re-watch.
