Man on Wire
Restrepo
Exit Through the Gift Shop
Food, Inc
King of Kong
Like someone said anything about North Korea
Vice Guide to North Korea (great first one to watch to get general understanding of what it is like over there)
Crossing the Line (probably my favorite of them, about 4 americans that defected during the Korean War and they became North Koreans)
A State of Mind (about two girls who preform in their Mass Games)
Then there is one about people who have successfully escaped from North Korea, but I forget the name of it. All of these are streaming on Netflix
I haven't brought my self to watch Dear Zachary or Jesus Camp yet because I haven't felt like completely depressing myself. I heard Dear Zachary is just soo wacked up it will seriously mess with you.

I can't believe no one on this board has mentioned The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia yet.
I'm not saying it's the best, I'm just saying that it's surprising that for all the love that movie gets on this board (I like it, too) no one has mentioned it.
I liked Grizzly Man a lot.
I loved Deep Water.

Restrepo
Bowling for Columbine was actually really good.
The first time I saw it I hated it simply because I couldn't stand Micheal Moore but after I saw it again about a year ago I really enjoyed it even though some parts of it still pissed me off.

I'll add America Undercover from HBO. This series always interested me, and they've had so many good episodes in the past. Unfortunately, I don't know where to find them, but they've had topics on crack addicts, pimps, etc. Their "High on Crack Street" was the basis for "The Fighter," I believe.

Nobody has any love for The Union: The Business Behind Getting High? It is a really good doc. on the drug trade scene and why it is illegal in the states. Pretty informative especially on the how and why it got illegal and also goes into the medicinal side. Its all shot in Vancouver too, so you get some interesting scenes. I highly recommend it. Pun not intended. Well actually...

that's not even the best documentary about the White family, that would be Dancing Outlaw.
I can't believe I'm the only one to mention American Movie, truly a piece of god-art magic.
To combine these two sentiments together, American Movie is the equivalent of Jesco White attempting to make a movie with someone filming his pathetic, hilarious attempts. Please everyone watch American Movie. It's essential, vital, life affirming.

Agree about American movie.
ALSO - Errol Morris is WOEFULLY underrepresented in this thread. Vernon FL and Thin Blue Line are great, but really I think Fast, Cheap and Out of Control may be the best docu ever made IMO. Mr Death is great too.
You should also watch his entire series called First Person, which are all amazing portraits of fascinating people.

Restrepo was amazing, but I just finish watching Chosin, and they make those Restrepo guys look like they were on vacation.
